Back To The Past

If I ever had the chance to time travel, I think I would go back to the past and not travel to the future, because I rather not knowing what is coming next for us and also it may seem pretty disturbing that I prefer not to imagine. My plan for travelling to the past is to arrive while a big sport event is happening like a World Cup Final, a box fight, horse racing, etc. So then I will know the final result from my timeline and I will bet for the winner, making me earn a lot of money. So, maybe I guess I would change some minor things as long as it doesn't affect the final result, but I prefer to keep it low.
And yeah it sounds great using that technique to earn money but I don't think I'll use it for a long time because I would be homesick from my original timeline, so I think I will only do one BIG bet and leave, let's say about a game where the team with 0 hopes won against a pretty solid team, I can't remember any examples at the moment but I'll do my research before travelling to the past for sure. There are many stories about guys who do an impressive bet, earning a huge amount of money, and then disappear letting us jump into crazy conclusions that they were time travellers, but who knows?.

My Bucket List

On my 21 years of life I have done many things I loved, like for example travelling, going to concerts, partying and all that. But, there are many more things I would like to do in the future. My bucket list includes many activities like going on a trip with friends, practice some sports like tennis or paddel, and my most important one: live in another country. Well, the firts two activities can be done in a short period of time, since they are the most simple and don't require a lot. But to live in another country that requires a lot of time and money, so I hope I can do it around 2030 or 2040 at most, so I will be graduated from college and have a job to save money. I still don't know the country I would like to live but I'm thinking of somewhere they speak english, but I'm open to any language. For the moment I'm thinking of going by myself since it means to leave your family and friends behind, so it is a rough decission also. Going back to the simplest activities, I've tried practicing tennis when I was younger but I didn't last long because I got bored, but now I'm really interested in practicing again and maybe invite to play some friends so it will be more fun. And I've done some trips with friends before but nothing too big, so that's what I'm looking for, maybe visiting a beach, going to the south of Chile or going to another country would be fun and memorable. So this is my bucket list at the time but it may have some changes and additions through the time. Bye.

TV Shows and Series

On this blog I'm going to tell you about my favorite TV Show I've ever seen. Well I'm not really a person who watches a lot of series or TV, I enjoy more watching movies instead. But from the few series I've seen I got to say that South Park is the best and my favorite.
So yeah, this show is dumb and has a lot of dark humour but it also deals about some serious situations in a funny way but with a deep meaning. For example there are some episodes that treat about inmigration, depression, voting and social pressure and a lot of more stuff. These things can be relatable in the present tense and South Park gives a great point of view of it. So when I watch South Park I mainly do it to have some fun and laugh a bit, which is one of the things I look for and enjoy the most when I want to watch a new show. Although I haven't finished it because the new episodes were kinda boring and lacked of the dark humour as the firsts seasons, but, now I'm interested in seeing other TV shows like Twin Peaks, which is a serie that one of my favorite film directors did in the 90s and it's a must watch if you are a Lynch fan. It's funny because Twin Peaks isn't comedy as South Park is, but I'm interested anyways.

Academic Changes in 2022

Hello everyone, in this blog I'm going to talk about some changes that could be made to my study program of my carreer, which is Chemistry and Pharmacy. First of all, I agree with mostly evertything on the subjects I have to study, but now that we just got over a pandemic, I think it would be very interesting and helpful to learn more about vaccines, viruses, and maybe have like a class about the history of COVID-19 and how we got to overcome it and got back to normal. Also, I think that when you fail a subject, it would be much more helpful to do it again the next semester and not the next year, this causes more delay in your studies (that is already too long) by a whole year! which is really frustating, so I think you should repeat classes by semester and not by year. There are some clasees that can get really difficult, but I think it is something expected since this carreer is very demanding and requires a lot of habilities, such as memory, inteligence, etc. So yeah, sadly the workload is a lot but it's ok. When I come to the faculty I have everything that is necessary, labs, classrooms, restrooms, a place to hang out, even a field to do sports, so it's really cool to have all that, but, I think the faculty isn't inclusive enough, for example the main entrance doesn't have a ramp for people with wheelchair, the clasrooms have stairs inside, if you want to go the labs you can't because there are only stairs, so I think the faculty should improve those things that are crucial nowadays. Although, the quality of the labs, technology that is in the classrooms, and the teachers and their methods are great and help a lot, like using presentations, sending them questions by email and all that you realize that academically this faculty is great.

The Best Concert Ever

Well for me it's really hard to decide which concert I've attended is the best, I've been going to concerts since I was 12 years old and I've seen some excellent performances as well as some not so great. But if I have to pick my favorite one it would be Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds's show in 2018 at the Teatro Caupolican. For those who don't know Nick Cave is a musician, songwritter and singer that plays with the band called The Bad Seeds, but basically Nick is the frontman and takes all the credit for that haha. The band was formed around the 70s and was one of the most influencial bands in the gothic music scene.
So, as I remember I wanted to meet the band so bad that I skipped school the day of the show and waited outside the Sheraton Hotel the whole day waiting for the band and get my CD's signed. So I waited like 5 hours outside, and then suddenly a van parked to pick the band, everyone did a qeue and saw that Nick came up to sign our stuff and take pictures, it was really a moment I will never forget because literally I met one of my heroes and idols. So then I went to the show and it was mindblowing, I couldn't believe I was watching my favorite musician live, I felt so lucky and happy for the opportunity. He played some of the classics and his new record at that time called: Skeleton Tree. It was an intimate show as Nick held other people's hand and invited them to get on the stage to sing with him, there were like 40 lucky fans on that stage. You could see that the band and the audience, including me, enjoyed a lot the show.

A country I would like to visit

For many years I have been obsessed with Iceland due to its beauty and great nature.
Iceland is a nordic country located in Europe, Northern Europe to be more precise, reason why is one of the coldest countries in the world but yet so beautiful. The thing I find most interesting about Iceland is that it's a very small country, more like a tiny island, with only one "big" city called Reykjavik (which is the capital), and the rest of the country is just mountains, volcanos and glaciers. Because it's so small only 368.792 people live in Iceland, and that's why maybe most of the icelandics know each other.
If I ever go to Iceland I would like visit the Black Sand Beach, see the Gulfos Waterfall, eat typical food like "hakarl" (fermented shark) and go to a big mountain to see the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis).
Although it is an amazing country I don´t think I would live there, because it can get really lonely with very few people living there, and also the cold weather might bring you down in my opinion. Also, the language there I find it extremely difficult to learn, so I guess I would just visit Iceland from time to time.

Practice Post

Good afternoon classmates. In this blog I will tell you about some cool places I visited the other day in Santiago that fascinated me with their beauty. The first one I would like to talk about is the Bahai Temple. This temple is located on the hills of Peñalolen, where you can see a magnificent view of the whole city, I really recommend going after a rainy day because the sky will be very clear with no smog. But that´s not all about, the Bahai Temple is a place where you can have a peaceful and joyful time while admiring the inside of the building. People normally go to pray or meditate no matter the religion you preach. If you liked this place I also recommend visiting Parque de las esculturas, Museo de Bellas Artes, etc. If you are thinking of visiting those places keep in mind a mean of transportation, my personal favorite is the subway due to it´s flair of embrace the whole city, making it much easier, not spending too much and eco-friendly.
